BMW E90/92 M3 Tuning Parts You can buy a number of tuning parts for your E90/92 BMW in our E-Shop. Alternatively, if you wish to get hold a spare part you cannot find, let us know and we will endeavour to find it for you. Firstly the brakes, why do BMW insist on fitting single pot sliding calipers to its M Powered cars, they are a large alloy set up, and at first glance look up to the job. At a mere glimpse of fast road or light track work they soon disappoint, so to address this situation we have had a stainless steel braided 6 line brake hose set designed, coupled with a set of Pagid RS19 brake pads, the brakes are massively improved and will stop you time and time again on the street, track and the ring. If you need more stopping power (can you have too much?) then we can supply an AP solution which includes 6 pot front calipers and 4 pot rear brake calipers, value for money in just looks alone! Handling is the second issue, the car is heavy and lacks the nimbleness of its predecessors, so for road and some track use we use the Eibach Pro kit that drops the ride height, stiffens the ride and gives a much better feel, infact it now feels like it should of when it left the factory, not too stiff to ruin the ride but stiff enough to do the job, we love Eibach. Couple the springs with an increase in track width and a little tweak of the alignment and the car hugs the road and has a stance to die for. If you want more then we can offer you a bespoke suspension coil over kit offering ride height adjustment and 3 way damper adjustment, maybe a bit too much for the road, but if you're serious about your track days or racing then this is your route. Power, not really an issue, once the brakes and suspension are sorted, most things will be left in your wake, but sound, now this is lacking, a 400bhp V8 engine whispering, what's that all about? We offer an exceptional quality cat back system which gives a tone to die for, no real power gains, (we've yet to see any cat back system improve power), but for build quality, sound and looks our Zero Exhaust system cant be beaten. Take into consideration the huge weight saving of our system then you will see an improvement in overall performance, braking and handling (weight really is the enemy). If you are looking for power gains from an aftermarket exhaust then you need to be looking at a complete system including 100 cell race cats. The Akrapovic system, made from titanium, a price tag that wouldn't look out of place in Harrods, offers a 22bhp increase, probably the most you will see from any system. If you want more power, we can remap it, gains so far are in the region of 18bhp, but we are still developing the ECU file and as we find more maps inside the ECU like torque limitation maps etc then we can expect greater gains. If you want to go racing, think about junking the standard road equipment and install a motorsport ABS system and a standalone engine management system like Pectel that will give you full control over the engine and allow you to extract some real power. |
