Project Cars: Nigel's BMW E30 M3 1986
When we acquired the car it was a standard 2.3L producing 185bhp in a standard form. It slowly transformed from road car to track car. With a slow and steady progression, it now drives, feels and sounds every bit like a race car. Engine: - High compression 2.5L capacity engine producing 290bhp with lightened and balanced bottom end. - Ported 215bhp cylinder head with 1mm oversize stainless steel inlet valves - Uprated valve springs with titanium retainers - Shim under bucket valve train - Schrick 320 inlet cam and 308 exhaust cam. - 48mm throttle bodies - Group A 8 injector carbon fibre airbox with ITG filter - Evosport exhaust manifold - BTB Group N exhaust system - Distributorless ignition system - MBE engine management - Ultra light weight flywheel with - Twin plate paddle clutch. Chassis: - Leda coil over suspension (ride height, rebound and bump adjustment) - Fully rose jointed and adjustable rear suspension - Adjustable camber/castor front top mounts Video:
